Frances Shipnuck
This is Frances! She is a local energy alchemist, space holder and facilitator guiding private sessions and groups for ceremonies, workshops, coaching and special occasions.
With over a decade in the healing arts and a great joy for meaningful gatherings, Frances has been creating sacred space and experiences that integrate practical tools, ritual, energy medicine, breathwork, sound, and movement to deepen your relationship to Self and open to your own unique wealth and wisdom.
Born and raised on the peninsula she also lived in Belmont Shore, California, Park Slope, Brooklyn as well as New York City. She attended Long Beach State University and received her Montessori teaching certification from UC Irvine. Her training in Eastern tradition began in 2013 at Mount Madonna Retreat Center with Baba Hari Dass where she received her 200h-RYT and breath certification. Followed by 300h certification with Bikram Choudhary in Thailand. A yoga, breath and religious comparative studies took her to Haridwar, India where she lived at Sri Ram Ashram.
Her teaching is also greatly influenced by her mentor and teacher the late Anjay Skirwa of Pura Vida Eco Holistic Retreat Center in Yelapa, Mexico. Before venturing out on her own she taught at Sweet Heat Hot Yoga for many years. And her greatest teachers (and joy) are her four children ages 15-19! Although grateful for the extensive travels, it is right here at home on the peninsula she has been most blessed as a teacher and student.
